Position: Staff Accountant
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $84,000 - $103,000 per year
RIX Industries, a leader in American-made compressor engineering, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reducing financial waste, increasing profits, and assisting with various accounting functions. If you have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in financial reporting, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations.
- Maintain financial reports and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end close process.
- Monitor and streamline accounts receivable processes.
- Coordinate with operations for inventory management.
- Support accounts payable functions for accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate reports, conduct analysis, and reconcile accounts.
- Assist in external audit preparation and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- 5 years related experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in all areas of accounting and financial reporting.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position involves exposure to manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments. Physical abilities include lifting up to 50 pounds, extended periods of standing or sitting, and following safety procedures.
