As a Store Operations Assistant at ALDI, you will play a crucial role in merchandising and stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to ensure a top-notch shopping experience for our customers. Collaborating with our team, you will uphold ALDI's standards of excellence and deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and embody ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays meticulously.
• Assist customers with their shopping needs and provide outstanding customer service.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory accuracy, and any issues to management.
• Participate in store inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.
• Follow all company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and place merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights.
• Regular activities include sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and walking.
• Must be able to perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in providing efficient and courteous customer service.
• Skilled in operating a cash register accurately.
• Capable of safely using equipment such as an electric/manual hand jack and floor scrubber.
• Experience in retail settings and general cleaning tasks is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and multitasking capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Meet all state and local requirements for handling alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
