Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
  • Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers throughout their visit.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with management.
  • Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and store operations.
  • Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Follow cash handling policies and uphold company procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies, maintain security, and confidentiality of data.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Capable of providing prompt and friendly customer service.
  • Efficient operation of cash registers and store equipment.
  • Ability to perform cleaning duties to company standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
  • Meet all state and local requirements for selling alcohol.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail experience is advantageous.
  • Any combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
