Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ALDI core competencies and professional skills
  • Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Participate in inventory management and ensure accuracy
  • Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

Physical Demands

  • Stock merchandise and handle products weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Engage in various physical activities throughout the store

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment
  • Follow cleaning standards and company policies
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Meet requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail experience is a plus
