Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ALDI core competencies and professional skills
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Participate in inventory management and ensure accuracy
- Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise and handle products weighing up to 45 pounds
- Engage in various physical activities throughout the store
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment
- Follow cleaning standards and company policies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Meet requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus
