Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, stocking merchandise, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment. The role requires collaboration with team members and clear communication with management to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) on a consistent basis.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers and addressing inquiries.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts following guidelines and ensuring accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize discrepancies.
• Comply with company policies while safeguarding documents and data.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient and accurate operation of a cash register.
• Safe use of equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers.
• Capable of maintaining cleanliness to company standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Aptitude for working independently and collaboratively.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and multitasking proficiency.
• Meet all state and local requirements for handling alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
