Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Team Member to join our dynamic team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store's operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness to provide our customers with an exceptional shopping experience.
Position Type
Full-Time, 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage
$19.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandising displays
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures
- Follow company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Safe use of equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
- Understanding and application of company policies and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to work independently and within a team
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for beverage handling and sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
