Job Description

We are looking for a Substitute Instructor to join the team at the Roswell Job Corps Center. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction in designated subject areas within a classroom setting. Your role is crucial in creating a positive learning environment to motivate students and promote their academic growth.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and uphold the Company Core Values and operating principles.
• Foster a positive atmosphere in the classroom to maximize student motivation.
• Maintain discipline to ensure an effective learning environment.
• Build strong rapport with students and utilize available curriculum resources.
• Maintain student personnel folders and track attendance.
• Participate in required training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• State certification, license, or accreditation in the subject area.
• Practical experience in the subject area if not state certified.
• Ability to transfer knowledge effectively to meet learning objectives.
• Preferred: Extensive trade knowledge and teaching experience.
• Good understanding of behavior management techniques for adolescent students.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Frequently: Standing, Sitting, Seeing, Hearing, Speaking.

Occasionally: Walking, Bending, Stooping, Squatting, Flexibility.

Seldom: Climbing, Lifting 50 pounds, Carrying, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Running, Driving.

Environmental Demands

• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Occasional solo work.
• Work collaboratively with teams and other departments.
• Read and write at a college level.
