Job Description
Ethos Veterinary Health is offering a Full-time Surgery Veterinary Technician position at Bulger Veterinary Hospital in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Join our surgical team working alongside anesthesiologists and board-certified surgeons specializing in soft tissue, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform anesthetic monitoring, including intubation/extubation, patient monitoring, and troubleshooting machines.
- Obtain and prepare blood samples for diagnostic testing.
- Take and process various radiographs pre and post-operatively.
- Assist doctors in surgical procedures, such as abdominal explores, cruciate repairs, fracture repairs, thoracotomies, and laparoscopic/arthroscopic surgeries.
- Monitor awake, sedated, and anesthetized patient vitals.
- Potential to pursue VTS for anesthesia or surgical specialty.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AVMA program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years of Veterinary Anesthesia experience.
- Proficient in anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRI calculations.
- Experience in accurate record keeping and medical record review.
- Comprehensive understanding of anesthetic monitoring.
- CVT, LVT, or VTS preferred.
