Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Ultrasonographer to join Corewell Health. As an Ultrasonographer, you will be responsible for performing basic diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by physicians, assisting with invasive procedures, and providing patient care essential for procedure success.
Responsibilities
- Obtain thorough patient histories and operate ultrasound equipment proficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic studies.
- Perform various diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to prescribed protocols.
- Document quality images and assist physicians during invasive procedures.
- Maintain a clean work environment, restock supplies, and report equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CRT-Sonographer (S), CRT-Abdomen (AB), or CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) required.
- Strong auditory and visual capabilities necessary for ultrasound studies.
- Ability to work autonomously, mentor others, and comply with established protocols.
Location & Schedule
- Primary Location: Watervliet Hospital, 400 Medical Park Dr, Watervliet.
- Department: Radiology - Watervliet.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Shift: Variable; Monday to Friday, with on-call weekends.
- Weekly Hours: 40.
- Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
