Job Summary
As an Ultrasonographer at Corewell Health, you will perform basic diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by physicians, assist with invasive procedures, and deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Obtain comprehensive patient history and operate ultrasound equipment proficiently.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols and document quality images.
- Assist physicians during invasive procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Support objectives set by lead ultrasonographer and contribute to credentialing and competencies.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
- Certifications such as CRT-Sonographer (S), CRT-Abdomen (AB), CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB), CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT), CRT-Vascular Sonographer (VS), and CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) may be required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC within specific timeframes.
Location & Schedule
Primary Location: Watervliet Hospital, 400 Medical Park Dr, Watervliet.
Department: Radiology - Watervliet.
Employment Type: Full-time.
Shift: Variable; Weekly Hours: 40; Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Days Worked: Monday to Friday; Weekend Frequency: On-call weekends.
