Ultrasonographer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Ultrasonographer to join Corewell Health as a Full-time team member. In this role, you will perform basic diagnostic ultrasound exams as prescribed by physicians, assist with invasive procedures, and ensure high-quality patient care. You will operate ultrasound equipment proficiently to produce accurate diagnostic studies and document findings effectively. The ideal candidate will uphold our commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed patient history and perform diagnostic ultrasound exams according to established protocols.
• Document pathology detected during scans and provide support during invasive procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment, manage supply inventory, and report equipment issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the lead ultrasonographer and other team members to meet organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Certification in various ultrasound specialties and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Proven ability to work independently, exercise judgment within guidelines, and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent auditory and visual acuity necessary for accurate diagnostic assessments.

• Primary Location: Watervliet Hospital, Watervliet.
• Department: Radiology - Watervliet.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Shift: Variable (United States of America).
• Weekly Hours: 40.
• Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with on-call weekends.
