Job Description

Loyola University Maryland (LUM) is seeking a dedicated Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor in Biology to join our Department of Biology. This position requires a master's degree in biology or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding a Ph.D. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching microbiology courses, introductory lectures, and labs at various levels, with potential involvement in developing specialized upper-level courses. The teaching workload consists of 4 lectures or labs in the fall and equivalent in the spring. The role includes contributing to curricular development, assessment, and supporting the overall educational mission of Loyola University Maryland, emphasizing high-impact teaching practices aligned with Jesuit higher education values.
