Job Description

Second Avenue, a leader in deploying capital into single-family residential assets, is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Workforce Housing Specialist to join its Single-Family Property Management division in Tampa, FL. This role involves onboarding and processing rental applications for the Housing Choice Vouchers program, ensuring smooth operations and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate affordable housing program rental applications and documentation, verify eligibility, and liaise with authorities.
  • Facilitate lease signings and housing inspections with prospective residents and housing authorities.
  • Maintain organized paperwork for the voucher program, stay updated on regulations, and build professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Optimize occupancy and lease rent, achieve KPIs, deliver exceptional customer service, and adhere to all regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate/equivalent with at least 2 years of property management experience.
  • Knowledge of Landlord Tenant Act, Fair Housing laws, HUD regulations, and property management software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing needs, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Professionalism under stress, ability to work with minimal supervision.
