Job Description
Genesis Healthcare is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join as a Wound Care Assistant Team Lead. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the prevention and management of wounds within our nursing center. Working closely with the interdisciplinary team, you will lead weekly wound rounds, train staff in wound care procedures, and serve as a clinical expert in skin, wound, and incontinent products.
Position Highlights
- Report directly to a designated Skin Health Team Lead and collaborate with the nursing leadership team.
- Coordinate and lead weekly team wound rounds and post-meet-ups for follow-up discussions.
- Train staff in all areas related to skin and wound care procedures.
- Act as a clinical expert in wound care products and provide oversight for related medical equipment.
- Completion of Skin Health Team Lead orientation training within 90 days of hire is required, along with other specified training programs.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse certification.
- Prior experience in wound care management is a plus.
- Commitment to ongoing training and education in wound care procedures.
